Ever since Twilight came to a merciful end Robert Pattinson has been doing little things to get out of the doghouse of men everywhere and now he basically called Twilight fans idiots. I think I am starting to like this guy. First he hooks up with Leonardo DiCaprio to score some tail, then he (doesn’t) have sex with Katy Perry, and now he completely disregards the fans of the films that made him a household name. Oh, and he called a celebrity blogger “fat.”

“The real odd thing about this Twilight target group is that they aren’t really teenagers,” he says of the books and movies’ most hardcore fans. “Most of them are older. Twilight has its own parallel world, its own fan culture that has been forming on the net since day one. And in an intense way that has never existed before. Sometimes I ask myself what these masses of people do the whole day. They sit in front of their computers and comment on anything having even remotely to do with Twilight.”
And Twilight fans aren’t the only thing that the British actor can’t stand. He hates his abbreviated “R-Patz” nickname. “I’d like to strangle the guy who came up with it!” he says. Though Robert, 27, won’t name names, he does know who is responsible for the nickname, referring to him simply as “some fat celebrity blogger.”
Yes, we KNOW that the Twilight target group aren’t really teenagers. They’re [redacted because I am not R-Patz and don’t want to piss too many people off]. But thank you for pointing out how nuts they are, Robert. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
