Rihanna’s ‘sexually suggestive’ ad banned; Peter Griffin wore her see-through dress

Rihanna is back in the news again today as the ad for her perfume Rogue has been deemed too “sexually suggestive.” Oh, and Peter Griffin posed in her CFDA see-through dress. That too.

The ad (which you can watch a smoking hot video for here) showing Rihanna topless leaning up against a wall has been restricted to appearing in areas where young children will be unlikely to see it. This despite the fact that the ad reportedly only received one complaint (someone said it was demeaning to women).

The UK’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) put the restriction on it anyway because according to them, “While we did not consider the image to be overtly sexual, we considered that Rihanna’s pose, with her legs raised in the air, was provocative.”

I think that was kind of the whole point. Rihanna, you win again. By being naked.

Oh yeah, as for Peter Griffin donning Rihanna’s dress, she tweeted out the photo above (uncensored) with the caption, “He gets it!”

So perfect. Although Scout Willis will probably be mad we didn’t censor Peter’s cartoon nipples too.
