Miss USA Nia Sanchez, aka Miss Nevada, doesn’t know the capital of Nevada

After Miss Nevada Nia Sanchez became Miss USA people were coming out of the woodwork saying that she faked her Nevada residency. Today on a morning radio show she couldn’t answer when asked the capital of her home state. Check out the video.

Appearing on The Todd Show this morning, Sanchez was given a pop quiz by the host, asking her the capital of HER HOME STATE, and this was her response, “Oh, um, ahhh, oh my gosh…” Then the host gave her the answer and she quickly shouted, “Thank you I was going to say that. I was like, that one DJ host on MTV, back in the day, his name, that’s how I always remembered it.”

Hmmm…maybe there’s more truth to the rumors than we gave credit, huh?

“She never actually moved to Nevada, but continued to work at Disney and live in California, setting up some minimum paper trail to appear like she was in Nevada and allow her to compete,” the insider told FOX411. “Shanna Moakler is the Nevada director, and she personally coached Nia on what she needed to do to qualify in Nevada and skirt around the need to be actually from there.”

Nah, it was a beauty pageant. Those are always run so cleanly and without scandal.
