Congratulations to Miss Nevada, Nia Sanchez, the winner of the 2014 Miss USA pageant. She replaces Erin Brady, the 2013 Miss USA winner from Connecticut. Nia Sanchez is a 4th degree black belt so watch out fellas.
Nia Sanchez was my favorite to win it all for what it’s worth so yeah, this is me patting myself on the back. In the interview portion of the competition, Nia Sanchez was asked about why sexual assault is not highly reported on college campuses.
“I believe that some college may potentially be afraid of having a bad reputation and that would be a reason why it’s swept under the rug because they don’t want that to come out in the public. But I think more awareness is very important so woman can learn how to protect themselves.”
Strong, strong answer from Nia Sanchez.
By the way, here are the last 10 winners of Miss USA:
2012 Olivia Culpo, who went on to win Miss Universe
2011 Alyssa Campanella, Miss California
2010 Rima Fakih, Miss Michigan
2009 Kristen Dalton, Miss North Carolina
2008 Crystle Stewart, Miss Texas
2007 Rachel Smith, Miss Tennessee
2006 Tara Conner, Miss Kentucky
2005 Chelsea Cooley, Miss North Carolina
2004 Shandi Finnessey, Miss Missouri
2003 Susie Castillo, Miss Massachusetts
Also, yeah, Miss Nevada Nia Sanchez absolutely killed the bikini competition.
