Jennifer Lawrence was asked about Miley Cyrus and what’s going on today with the sexualization of young women and had some pretty pointed comments, saying it’s “disgusting.”

“I don’t really worry about it. It’s definitely something that’s just kind of a part of this world,” The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star, 23, said. “It is a part of the entertainment industry that sells. Sex sells, and for some disgusting reason young sex sells even more.”

This makes J-Law the third major female celebrity to come out with comments recently on all the sluttiness that’s taking place these days joining Katy Perry and Rashida Jones in wondering just what the hell is going on.

In an unrelated interview with BBC Radio 1, Cyrus defended her recent actions by saying, “Guys, they like flip the channel when Miley Cyrus is coming on. You know I’m at least going to be kind of naked. So it makes me people stick around and watch a little more. Then they are actually like, ‘She can hold a note.'”

I don’t know about that last part, but she’s got the first part right, perhaps unfortunately to some.
