Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women List has a nine-time winner at the top

Forbes‘ 100 Most Powerful Women List came out today and lo and behold the woman at the top is the same one who has been there on nine different occasions. Of course we’re talking about German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who of the 10 times she’s been on the list has held the top spot for nine of them. Quite a run.

Other notable women to make the cut include several celebrities such as Great Van Sustern (#100), Gisele Bundchen (#89), Lady Gaga (#67 – youngest on the list), Shakira (#58), Angelina Jolie (#50), Ellen DeGeneres (#46), Sofia Vergara (#32), Oprah Winfrey (#14) Michelle Obama (#8) and Hilary Clinton (#6) – yes, I called those last two celebrities.
