Actress Brittany Murphy, who died in 2009 at the age of 32, of what was called natural causes (pneumonia and anemia) may have actually been murdered according to a new investigation. Her husband, Simon Monjack, who died shortly after Brittany’s death at the age of 40, also of reported “natural causes” (also pneumonia and anemia) is also having his cause of death questioned as well.

Angelo Bertolotti, Brittany’s father recently obtained hair, blood and tissue samples and had them tested for heavy metals and toxins, which the Los Angeles Coroner did not test for at the time of their deaths.

Per the Examiner

The lab report states, “Ten (10) of the heavy metals evaluated were detected at levels higher that the WHO [The World Health Organization] high levels. Testing the hair strand sample identified as” back of the head” we have detected ten (10) heavy metals at levels above the WHO high levels recommendation. If we were to eliminate the possibility of a simultaneous accidental heavy metals exposure to the sample donor then the only logical explanation would be an exposure to these metals (toxins) administered by a third party perpetrator with likely criminal intent.”

Heavy metals can be commonly found in rodenticides (chemicals that kill mice or rats) and insecticides. Symptoms of acute heavy metal poisoning in humans can include headache, dizziness, gastrointestinal, neurological, respiratory, or dermal symptoms such as abdominal cramps, tremors, tachycardia, sweating, disorientation, coughing, wheezing, congestion, and pneumonia. Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack exhibited all of these symptoms prior to their untimely deaths. The levels of heavy metals detected in Brittany Murphy’s hair were from 2 to over 9 times higher than the levels set as “high” by The World Health Organization.

Many people did find it odd that two people so young, and married, would die of natural causes so closely together in time. This new information may finally bear some fruit as to what actually did happen to them both.

Murphy and Monjack also claimed that they were under surveillance, that their phones were bugged, and that they feared for their lives at various points prior to their deaths, further contributing to this mystery.
