We’ll now get the chance to actually see if what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas as Britney Spears has signed a two-year deal to perform at Planet Hollywood in Sin City.
The show will be called “Britney, Piece of Me,” and feature both new songs as well as some of Britney’s greatest hits.
“We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they’re in the show with me,” Spears said to GMA’s Sam Champion during the announcement. “I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good. I’m definitely going to do the greatest hits, but I’m gonna have to put some of my new material in it just to keep it fresh.” The Queen of Pop will put on 50 performances per year.
All I can say is thank God someone else is in charge of her money now. Britney Spears? In Vegas? For two years? (She spent almost $7 million last year NOT living in Las Vegas.) This should be entertaining, and I don’t mean her show.
As for her studio work, Spears most recent song “Work Bitch” was just released this past Sunday and her next album will be released on December 3.
