Hard to believe that anyone would ever be upset with Britney Spears, but a some people are after comments she made about gays recently in an interview on 99.7 NOW FM in San Francisco.
Already accused of using “gay marketing” for her “Work Bitch” single and video, now some folks are less than thrilled that she referred to her gay co-workers as “adorable and hilarious.” Seems totally reasonable.

Spears may have ruffled some queer feathers today with comments she made during an interview on 99.7 NOW FM in San Francisco. Speaking specifically about her gay following and whether or not she has a group of gay people that influences her work, Britney responded, “A lot of my hair stylists and my beauty team that I work with are gay so I hang out with gays a lot and I just think they’re adorable and hilarious.”
Did you hear that? She called them “adorable and hilarious.” How awful. I know, I know, it’s the generalization that has some folks’ panties in a bunch, but people, it’s Britney Spears we are talking about here. Brit-Brit. It’s not a Rhodes Scholar you’re taking issue with on this.
