New York Pizza Goes Giant Blue, Bar Changes Name to ‘Manning’s’ for Super Bowl

Diehard fans may bleed their teams' colors, but out on Long Island, Giants fans can literally ingest the Super Bowl squad's Red, White and Blue. Joe’s Pizza in Holbrook, N.Y., has gone all out, turning their "white pies" blue and decorating other items in honor of the G-Men.

The blue pies are the brainchild of the owner’s son, Phil, and were made by adding blue food dye to ricotta cheese. A similar method was implemented with the dough used to make the garlic knots, which look delicious. There's also a (non-blue) football-shaped pizza for those who like their pies without food coloring.

Meanwhile, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the bar usually known as Brady's has been renamed for the weekend as Manning's. The 82nd and Second Avenue watering hole did the same thing four years ago

You can check out the blue pizza at Joe’s Pizza (Waldbaum's Shopping Center at 346 Union Ave., Holbrook, 631-981-3029) or watch the game at Manning's (1583 2nd Avenue @ 82nd Street).
