Mr. T forwarded us this Break.com link of a video of a guy who's totally wasted and enters a convenience on a quest for more beer. We've been debating at BroBible HQ whether it's real or not. I think it's fake, and offer up this point (besides some of the more obvious visual clues like the fact that it's 10 a.m. and the gray-haired owner not physically throwing the guy out the front door): having successfully retrieved the beer from the fridge and then having unfortunately fallen down onto the ground, this guy would not act like the puppy who couldn't turn over and instead would say "Fuck it," reach over to his beer, tear open the keg, and start drinking. As any Bro knows, the bong is a sacred treasure that defines so many college experiences. However, as is the case with any relationship, at some point you have to figure out if it's time to move on or ride it out for the long haul. This is the predicament several members of my fraternity and I are currently faced with. We've had the same bong for over a year now and it has gotten to the point where it has divided our frat house: half the brothers relish the filthiness of it and half the brothers want to get vaccinated every time they go near it. I'd like to pose arguments from two brothers who have conflicting views on whether the bong should stay or go, and I'd love it if the Brommunity would chime in with their thoughts on the matter.

"The Bong" Supporter Says...

"The Bong." That's what we've called it since April 17, 2008. No corny nicknames, just "The Bong." This smoking instrument has been with us through the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. When one of us would strike out at the bars and come home empty handed, "The Bong" wouldn't judge us. When I failed an econ course and had my parents threatening to take me out of school, "The Bong" didn't express disappointment. Now, yes, she's seen better days but nothing a thorough cleaning, slide replacement, and a whole lotta love couldn't fix. I agree, upon first glance, she looks like a chick who's just been gangbanged by the entire offensive line at LSU, but there is too much history here for us to move on and start flirting with other girls.
