Remember a couple weeks ago, when we told you about the Miss Cougar America competition, which was supposed to take place out in Palo Alto this week? Well, we have a winner. Meet Gloria Navarro, a 42-year-old Redwood City, Calif., "suburban management consultant," who was married for 20 years but recently divorced. Apparently she's looking for someone "new." Who Will Win This Year's Miss Cougar America Contest?

Last month, we told you about some prime cougar hunting up in Boston as well as Town Me's "Cougar Locator" website. Now, all you West Coasters can break out your camouflage and start tracking the beast in its wildest habitats. The first-ever National Single Cougars Convention, featuring the Miss Cougar America Contest, will take place August 28 in Palo Alto, Calif. The event comes complete with a keynote address -- "Cougar-Luscious: Irresistible Dating & Relating for Older Women and Younger Men" -- delivered by author Francesca Gentille and her "much younger romantic partner (14 years difference)" Tahil Gesyuk. Grab Your Safari Gear, It's Cougar-Hunting Time

Apparently cougar hunting is back in vogue (did it ever go away?). Up in Massachusetts, UrbanDaddy reports, the "Boston Cougar Hunt" arranges meet-up points around the city where cougar hunters can congregate and look for a 40-year-old broads with boob jobs and wicked accents. The next one is at Abe & Louie's on July 16. Not in Boston? A reader sent in a link for Town Me's Cougar Locator. It ranks cities' "Cougar Index," "Yuppie Index," "Starving Students Index" and more, and ranks neighborhoods within that city. Unfortunately, it doesn't do much more than that. As much as we can tell, you can't search for individual cougars or their stomping grounds, so what good is it really? I guess we all have to move to Boston in the meantime, or go it alone in our own hunting territory.

New Year's Eve Spectacular

After reading the emotional thriller "Making A Good Impression" by Champagne Campaign on this sensational website, I decided to share my own New Year's Eve adventure. This tale takes place in our nation's capital, Washington DC. My buddy was having about 30 people over to bring in the New Year at his apartment. I got there around 11 pm but was not in the New Years spirit. I was hungover from the night before and had to wake up early for a flight out of Dulles the next morning. In any event, I had promised one of my friends I would stop by, take down a few cocktails, and then quietly dip out after midnight.
