Here's a phrase you'd never expect to hear in a million years from pornstar Sasha Grey: too much sex can be a bad thing. That's the tagline of Grey's recent campaign for a People of Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) public service announcement. The 21-year old star of Steven Soderbergh's "The Girlfriend Experience" and over 175 skin flicks recently got naked for the controversial animal rights group. Why? She wants to convince you to spay or neuter your cat or dog.

After the jump is a video of Grey discussing animal birth control. As an extra bonus, we've also thrown in a few sorta-kinda NSFW pictures of Grey for your late night Thursday enjoyment.

Wait, can anyone fill us non-animal experts in on why spaying/neutering your pet is good for them? why is too much sex a bad thing?

I cannot believe a smart girl like Sasha got brainwashed by those assholes at PETA. I'm sorry... but any organization that puts animals' rights before humans' is just downright psychotic. And Hungry Bro... they wanna castrate animals cause they don't think that animals should be able to procreate... kind of a double standard. Has to do with so many animals being in shelters, and ultimately being put down. They don't mind it if a coyote kills handfuls of dogs and cats, yet if a human humanely puts down an animal, all hell breaks loose.

FedUp: slow down for a second and think out what you are saying. PETA is an advocacy group. They may not always be practical, but they are mostly right when it comes to proper treatment of animals.

First of all, your point about coyotes is just plain dumb. A coyote is a predator, living in the wild, and without intelligence to understand or even know that killing someones pet is wrong.

Which leads to ask you what animal rights you believe are being put above humans? You seem to think that because people have the ability to learn, think, reason and make informed choices, that we should be able to kill whatever we want, whenever we want - so long as its not human? Isn't that a fairly obtuse view of the planet, let alone our place in the cosmos?

PETA has and does perform euthanization for Cats and Dogs in some cases. Encouraging spaying and neutering is beneficial not only to HUMANELY control population and reduce strays, but also because backyard breeders are largely amateur in their approach and results. So it's not a double standard, because animals act on instinct, not knowledge and thought. We train dogs and other animals. But the training involves simple scenarios with repetition and reward. The reward, at least at the outset, is always food. Why? Instinct. So spaying and neutering is too prevent the need for euthanization. Shelters are overrun. Pet stores are stocked with pets - some of which will be euthanized simply because they didn't sell. Not even close to a double standard.

Humans hold other humans to a higher standard because we can. Animals can't.
