After all, 2009 saw the debut of a new generation of Iphones, the proliferation of the Kindle, Windows 7, WiFi service in your car, the PowerMat, a GPS voice over by Snopp Dogg, Google Wave, and ultra-thin LED TVs. It's a little hard to get giddy with anticipation about a keyboard. However, the Optimus Tactus Keyboard may revolutionize how we interact with computers. The sci-fi concept includes a touch-sensor display and video capabilities built into the keyboard itself.

4. The "Google Phone"

In December, popular tech blog Engadget published exclusive pictures of Nexus One a.k.a "The Google Phone." The phone is expected to be released early in 2010, although it's too soon to say if it will take smart phones to a new level and directly compete with the iPhone.

The world has been buzzing about Apple's a futuristic touch-based tablet computer/e-reader for a while now. Apple may make the big announcement as early as January 2010 about its hushed development of a tablet computer.
